O fechamento do capital da empresa n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma ideia nova, j\u00e1 que em uma reuni\u00e3o em junho de 2010, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MichaelDell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Dell<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 o dono da companhia \u2013 havia declarado seu <strong>interesse<\/strong> em realizar essa opera\u00e7\u00e3o. A transa\u00e7\u00e3o incluir\u00e1 <strong>investimentos<\/strong> do grupo de capital privado <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silverlake.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Silver Lake<\/strong><\/a> e um empr\u00e9stimo da <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/pt-br\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Microsoft<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Com essa atitude, a companhia do <strong>bilion\u00e1rio<\/strong> pode se concentrar exclusivamente em reverter a crise, adotando servi\u00e7os e equipamentos de <strong>inform\u00e1tica<\/strong> para outras <strong>empresas<\/strong> com o mesmo foco. Nesse novo ramo, a <strong>Dell<\/strong> ter\u00e1 como concorrentes as fortes <a href=\"http:\/\/www8.hp.com\/br\/pt\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Hewlett-Packard<\/strong><\/a> e <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibm.com\/br\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>IBM<\/strong><\/a>, o que n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 t\u00e3o f\u00e1cil, j\u00e1 que s\u00e3o empresas <strong>grandes<\/strong> e <strong>consolidadas<\/strong> no ramo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dell<\/strong> saiu da presid\u00eancia da companhia em <strong>2004<\/strong> e as vendas e os servi\u00e7os a clientes come\u00e7aram a <strong>cair<\/strong>. Em 2007, o executivo <strong>retomou<\/strong> o cargo, para al\u00edvio dos investidores, por\u00e9m a participa\u00e7\u00e3o de mercado da companhia que tem metade da receita vinda das vendas de <strong>computadores pessoais<\/strong> e servidores continuou caindo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Em 2006, ap\u00f3s perder espa\u00e7o para a <strong>HP<\/strong>, a <strong>Dell<\/strong> come\u00e7ou a concentrar esfor\u00e7os na venda de <strong>computadores pessoais<\/strong>, por\u00e9m a crise econ\u00f4mica de <strong>2008<\/strong> atrapalhou os planos de direcionar todas as for\u00e7as ao mercado de <strong>desktops<\/strong> <strong>dom\u00e9sticos<\/strong>. Com quedas expressivas em sua receita, a companhia tentou outros mercados, como <strong>equipamentos<\/strong> e <strong>solu\u00e7\u00f5es<\/strong> para hospitais, escolas, ex\u00e9rcito e outras empresas, mas n\u00e3o foi o suficiente para a empresa se estabilizar.<\/p>\n<p>A crise levou a <strong>Dell<\/strong> a iniciar um programa de <strong>8,9 mil demiss\u00f5es<\/strong>, oferecer pacotes de incentivo a <strong>demiss\u00f5es volunt\u00e1rias<\/strong>, <strong>congelar contrata\u00e7\u00f5es<\/strong> por todo o mundo e ainda pedir para os funcion\u00e1rios restantes tirarem <strong>f\u00e9rias n\u00e3o<\/strong> <strong>remuneradas<\/strong> de apenas cinco dias.<\/p>\n<p><b>Um dos mais poderosos<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Dell<\/strong> criou a empresa em <strong>1984<\/strong> quando ainda estava na universidade e possu\u00eda capital de apenas mil d\u00f3lares. No in\u00edcio dos anos 2000, a companhia se tornou uma das maiores do ramo da inform\u00e1tica.
